Google Cloud Platform's App Engine is our primary backend service, a serverless, on-demand platform ensuring we can scale to your needs anytime. Our backend is also protected by Google Cloud's firewall system with managed SSL/TLS certificates to eliminate any malicious acts. (See here for how we are protected by one of the leading cloud providers)
We use MongoDB Atlas as our primary cloud database, which is used by Toyota, Volvo, Shopline, Expedia. Data is backed up as often as hourly with up to one year of retention in the monthly backup. There are also two redundant backup services located in different secondary data centers to ensure maximum availability.
Configure sophisticated role-based access rules to control which users and teams can access, manipulate, and delete data in your databases. Data access is managed by Google Cloud Platform's Firebase Authentication, which is also used by Lyft, New York Times, Trivago, Alibaba.com. There are now two roles possible, admin and user, which ensure they can only access the data the way they are supposed to.
We use Google Cloud's Activity Logging to log security-related events. This includes monitoring system activities, such as user logins, IP addresses, time of access, and much more. The Google Cloud platform also stores all logs securely with an audit trail that allows us to track any malicious activity.
At the end of the day, your privacy and security are our top priority. We are committed to keeping your data secure and private by using industry standard best practices for security and encryption. We believe in full transparency when it comes to how we handle customer data and strive to always be ahead of emerging threats.
